Just lucky I guess

I have listened to every conceivable excuse from every kind of economic expert these past weeks explaining the rocketing price of fuel. They blame it on everything from the weak U.S. dollar, to the emergence of China as a major consumer of oil, or to oil speculators. It seems they go out of their way to blame everything and everybody except the oil companies themselves. All I pay attention to is the fact that a gallon of gasoline has doubled in price over the last five years and Exxon/Mobile sets a new profit margin world record with every quarterly report. Do you really believe that a company like Exxon/Mobile has no control over making a $40 billion profit every three months?
If you own a business, try increasing your prices 100% over the next five years and see where you are by the sixth.
