So were down to Clinton, Obama, and McCain. Two socialists nearly to the point of communism, and the third is a big fan of the Cheney/Bush Iraq policy. Looks like I'm voting libertarian again because I refuse to take responsibility for any of those three. How bad do we need a third, or even a fourth legitimate political party?

Less than a year ago, the Kalamazoo County drain commissioner was under intense scrutiny. Sexual harassment allegations. State fines. Unfinished projects. Finally, a misdemeanor extortion conviction. Drain Commissioner Bill French rebuffed calls for his resignation and insisted he was still appreciated by the public.

Please tell me of any private sector job where you would still have your boss's appreciation after all that, yet the Kalamazoo County Commissioners still can't make a decision on this slob.

I am a big fan of Wal-Mart because of how much they hate unions but I do resent that split second they rob from my life when I have to choose between Spanish and English in the self serve line. It should default to English and require you to manually pick Spanish.
